Tourism Camp Eichstätt
Marketing, Mobile Web Search Engines, Social Networks, User Generated Content
The first tourist camp in Germany last weekend has taken place. Successful and absolutely worthy of repetition.
Venue: The venerable one, but (as you can see) but the modern Catholic university town.
The organization of teams to the organizers Florian Bauhuber, Jens Oellrich and Prof. Hopfinger (here in this blog post below a photo of the three men from right to left) went fine. Thanks again!
The mix of participants (bloggers, IT, catering, science, Destination Management Consultants), the discussions exciting and varied. It was not in any case, as I have previously described Barcamps - a room with one, two or several dozen, such as wild in their laptops hackenden freaks, the most want to be the first to report from the event.
Technology obviously played the main role in all discussions, but only in their application to specific tourist questions. In our discussions it was secondarily to concrete technical solutions but the trends that we see the problems with which we or our customers in the Web 2.0 problems.
Focus of Sessions:
- Locally based services, mapping Sesssions in multiple, overlapping with
- Mobile Web, mobile services
- Communities in tourism
- Barrier-free web, web and barrier-free travel.
It struck me that local Sevices based mobile services a very important role in the sessions played. Perhaps it was something to the academic interests of the hosts, but was clearly in the discussions felt that local-based services in their mobile variant for the tourism industry an increasingly important role. One issue, which is based on tourism regions, places and Supplier inevitably play. Besides discussions basis, there was also the really interesting presentation of a new bid - Clear timers. to go but I still times a separately.
At the next time I am determined again.
